The weak interaction is responsible for the tendency of particles to decay, as a result of interaction between subatomic nuclei. This particular process actually powers the suns Thermonuclear process, leading to the creation of helium. A slight alteration in this would shorten the sun's lifetime drastically, or prevent a sun from forming.
