Plato seems to have felt that contemplating Mathematical truths was an activity that was worthy of the Deity.

Platonism as it stands here is distinguished from the perspective of Plato, with his work not being considered critical for defending the argument, having grown beyond his theory of abstract and eternal forms.

Plato felt that time began when the creator fashioned the world, and that time is a "moving image of eternity", as the creator couldn't bestow eternality to a creation in it's fullness.

On the other hand, Plato and Newton, felt that time existed regardless of whether or not there were events going on inside of it.
